CHANDA sang and danced at the famous Kotha of Kesarbai but kept herself aloof from the life of sin in the hope that one day with Kesarbai's help she will meet her long-lost father who would lift her out of that mire.

Chanda could not meet her father. Instead she met Rajesh a young college professor who had come to seek her help that she should not allow his college students to come to her Kotha. Chanda agreed but on the condition that Rajesh should undertake her private tuition every day.

Rajesh agreed. Little did he know that when he taught Chanda, he would no longer remain a professor but a beginner in Love—Love that transcends all barriers of high and low, the rich and the poor. Whatever Love touches makes it pure, decent—full of Skarafat ! Rajesh was reared and educated by an aristocrat JagatBabu who loved him so much that he expressed his keen desire to marry his daughter Rekha to Rajesh. Humbled Rajesh could not refuse and so Rekha and Rajesh were betrothed.

When Chanda learnt about this, she became reckless and decided to ruin herself by selling herself to the highest bidder—Seth Jamuna Prasad. But before Chanda could take that drastic step Rajesh came in the nick of time to save her to take her out of mire and give her a place in his home and heart. Chanda was overjoyed with happiness.

But the joy was short-lived. The society struck back with crushing vengeance. Rajesh's betrothal with Rekha was terminated. He was turned out of his college badly humiliated and severely stoned by the hirelings. Rekha rushed to his house and took unconscious Rajesh to the hospital Chanda's happiness was completely shattered and in order to save Rajesh from further ruination, she went back to her destined life at Kesarbai'sKotha.

Wheels of fate do turn unexpectedly—but how?

Did Chanda find her lost father??

Did she get her love back???

To seek the answer to these baffling queries of Chanda's heartbreaking life, you must see the gripping heartrending climax of SHARAFAT on the silver screen.
